At the Annual Function of the school in the year 2018, the guest of honour was Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, a cricket administrator and a former first-class cricketer and a descendant of the former ruling family of the princely state of Baroda during the British Raj. He was astounded on seeing the children perform and congratulated the entire team at RPS. The school set up between the fields and the river nearby got him nostalgic about his own schooling Doon.
